I ordered this color book for my granddaughters to work in on rainy beach weather days. It has a lot of interesting pages to color and has been fun for them.

Love this one. Great for kids who like to color. Keep them occupied for hours, on plane, activities, group learning sessions.Very educational. Must have around the house or with you on travel. Perfect for teacher or who works with kids. Keep them handy!!!

Very disappointing. The paper & drawings are low quality. A little more effort on the art would’ve been nice. Can’t recommend this product, sorry.

If you are Will Sherman you can lay down some serious sales knowledge in exactly that amount! It comes as no surprise that his background in sales is pretty impressive.Sales are not new to me, even selling a home is something I have done on a few occasions over the years. Social media on the other hand, not exactly my area of expertise. Tom and I may be the only folks left on Myspace. After reading this book I know what I need to do. I understand the direction I need to take. I cannot say that I will likely move ten million in real estate over the next 6 months. What I can say is that I will certainly meet this goal in a 6 month stretch somewhere in the next few years! Understanding something is key to being successful with its use, I now understand.I'll keep this book around for a while, I am sure I will need to revisit it as I better acclimate to the world of social media. Be on the lookout folks, my real estate commercials will be “going viral” after I implement the skills I learned from Will Sherman! Hopefully, I will be able to find another of his titles soon.

Using social media is truly a remarkable way to boost your sales and all you to do get those results. In the forward, he points out that the most powerful idea are always the simple ones, but like most things, it takes discipline action day to day to realize the potential of your idea. The Sales professional on the front line has more to do with the success of a community and ultimately the company that a simple factor. One of the things he points out is the more exposure and traffic you create, the better results you will achieve in sales, and it's not the idea it's the execution. Smackdown is an acronym SMAC which is made up of specific, methodical and consistent. He points out that social media platforms help companies and people build reputations.I am not interested in real estate but I did find that this book was a helpful tool in to use in my husbands business construction business. The marketing tools are general and specific enough to be useful in multiple markets. Will Sherman straightforward writing style allows you to get his sometimes complex ideas simply and easy to follow. I even found the stats on the top 10 social media platforms ranked my estimated monthly visitors a helpful resource for running my own social media campaigns.

The author states that the book has “everything you need to know about Social Media in Real Estate” however; I read this book not as a real estate agent, but as someone involved in social media marketing for a nonprofit organization, and I found it to be an enjoyable read while not being too technical but providing enough solid information. Some of the concepts are basic but apply to any business such as; “think of every marketing effort as an experiment with cause and effect” and using language that appeals to your target demographic. A concept I knew in business but hadn’t thought about it applying to social media was the six degrees of separation. The author discusses this concept as it relates to social media and talks about the social media circle of influence. He shows how one post can have an exponential effect because of people liking it and sharing it with their circle of friends.If you are a real estate agent you will definitely find this book useful. If you are running another type of business, you will have to substitute the real estate business for your business, but the social media information is very solid and the examples are easy to follow. While much is dedicated to Facebook marketing, he also discusses other platforms and has a chapter devoted to using email and contact management software. I thought his explanation of proper email technique and content was very useful and would be beneficial to any business. “Each email sent should be treated like an experiment, varying content, and headers and using analytics to discover which ones work best.” He closes the book by putting it all together and discussing some things he did that didn’t work and his lessons learned.

Will Sherman’s book, The SmackDown: How I Sold $10M Worth of Homes in 6 Months Using Social Media, was an excellent and straight-forward read. I think that many of his social media practices and the advice that he dispenses in his book are applicable to just about any sort of business and to life in general. The information about how to leverage Facebook on a budget is very helpful, I never thought about the various stages that a business works through in terms of ‘likes’ and shares. I think a lot of people get really overwhelmed by all of the various social media platforms that are on the internet, I know that I do, but Will breaks it down into more manageable chunks and makes it seem a little less daunting. I also like that he uses real-life examples of how he uses and links all of the various platforms together, from Pinterest to Instagram, to create a cohesive and engaging experience for his customers. I also really appreciate that he points out how his social media strategy is based on real science, breaking down for his readers why it is important to understand where their customers fall within Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. Understanding this one concept can really help focus marketing activities so that they have the desired impact, creating a happy customer and a better business at the same time. This is a great read for anyone looking to start their own business.

I bought this book so that I could see what recipes would freeze well from the ATK/Cook's Illustrated/Cook's Country collection. Because the book is all about "making ahead" it offers more recipes than just those that you pop in the freezer. Don't get me wrong, there are a bunch of them, marked with "Freeze It" above every recipe that they deem freeze worthy. But there are also a bunch of other types of make ahead recipes. Like, overnight, make a day before, set it and forget it in the crockpot, etc... At first, I was irked like a lot of people who have commented about the freezing thing, but then it dawned on me that:1. It says Make Ahead in the title, not Freeze2. This could actually teach me something here :)If you're like me, Monday through Friday is exhausting. When I get home from work, I am too drained to even think about what to eat, let alone cook it! I love to cook though and always enjoy it like a hobby on weekends. SO, what this book made me think was that there are some recipes that I can freeze for later in the coming week, or even way ahead of that, and some I can prep and whip together quickly Monday and Tuesday. It takes the guess work out of weekday suppers and makes it easier than starting from scratch.The other big thing about this book (if you have never made or heard of America's Test Kitchen recipes before) is you can rely on these folks. These recipes are not hit and miss and this book is not going to collect dust. Make enough of them, and you start noticing techniques repeat into a habit, like blooming spices and garlic in oil, and you feel more confident as a cook. At least that has been the case with me. I really trust them.I do have one gripe and that is just how it is organized. It is appetizer, casserole, sauces... I wish those were sub-categories and the big categories were Freezer Recipes: appetizer, casserole, sauces...; 1-2 Days Ahead Recipes, etc. Just because I feel the need to mark with highlighters or post-its all the freezer recipes to make navigation for them easier, and I don't like marking books like this.But again, I found there to be so much good information and SO many recipes (It's over 400 pages with often more than 2 or 3 recipes on the page and even variation ideas) that I can't help forgiving them for that. :)One last thing a lot of folks may find useful and not be expecting it: There's a whole section on double duty recipes which are ones that help you do something with leftovers besides just eat them as is again.

This is a great book if you are the kind of person who wants to know the "why" you do this and not that along with what will freeze, cook ahead, or just want to do a bunch of meals!! It's very well written, easy to understand and very nice compliment of recipes. Would recommend this book for all kinds of cooks but remember this book isn't just FULL of recipes - it's has pages of how they developed the recipe so it works either refrigerated, frozen or cook now. They even tell you which ones work which way and why. Plus they explain why they use what kind of ingredients. So you know not to try something say with skim milk when it says whole milk - the product won't be the quality. It's even fun to page thru and read the different explanations. I bought this book based on other reviews of "America's Test Kitchen" cookbooks because I wanted one which had more make and freeze recipes. So glad I did!!! It has provided me with enough information that I can now figure out on my own pretty much of the basic foods I prepare what will work. I would highly recommend this cookbook!!!

This is hands-down my favorite of the Cooks Illustrated arsenal. If you're not familiar with what they do, they pretty much walk you through the conceptual creation of a particular dish and tell you everything that they were trying to do (or trying NOT to do) in their test kitchen. Each recipe reflects many trials to get the final product as universally appealing to their testers as possible.I have read most of their cookbooks cover to cover like a novel, and you end up learning so much about the food you make and the foods you're afraid to make. This particular volume of make-ahead recipes has become a bible for me. I frequently entertain lots of people, whether family or friends, and yet I'm not the type that enjoys cooking while they're all there. I like to prep in advance and then pop everything into the oven so that the kitchen is mostly clean (we're typically hanging out in there, right?) and I can sit down and have a cocktail. My problem before was that I can't stand how the food quality goes down so dramatically when you cook in advance. With this cookbook you are able to create so many dishes that you never before thought would be possible to have done any time other than last-minute.Now my kitchen is clean and I have so many more options than pot roast and new potatoes.

This has been one of the most helpful cookbooks I have used. As I have gotten older, I need to be able to get much of the holiday meals ready ahead of time as is possible. I cannot talk to guests and cook at the same time, so this cookbook lets me know how many days I can keep different parts of the meal to be able to heat and serve easily. I have given it to three friends who have mentioned that they also have to plan ahead now for special meals. Shirley C.

I love this cookbook because it tells exactly how far ahead you can make things, how to package them for storage, how to store them. You might think that's a no-brainer but I've got other books that just say things like "freeze" without mentioning whether you cook them before or after freezing them or if you need to thaw them before cooking them. This takes all the guesswork out so your food comes out perfectly every time.

This trusted cook book from COOKS ILLUSTRATED, has long been one of my well "dog eared," favorites. It has recipes from appetizers through desserts to make ahead. Be assured they will be family favorites. I have sent this book ahead as a hostess gift, as I turn to these when I am planning for house guests. I am ready for a new volume, as this one (still great!) is now sixteen years old.

Excellent reference guide for engineering students when taking Statics and post-Statics courses, as well. Has a lot of useful information and explains everything in a concise, easy-to-understand manner. More effective than most engineering university textbooks, I'd say!

When I started this book I was hopeful that it would make statics an easier subject to understand and it delivered. Like most text books today the book does have some information that does not need to be there which is admitted by the author, however if you have a science or math oriented background some or all of that information is useful. Statics is a tough subject to learn and the author makes the information easy to understand and the subject matter is related in a manner that anyone should be able to get it. I would recommend this book as an addition to any text book for a statics course or for the person just wanting to learn a new subject.

Now I will be honest, this will not magically work wonders for your understanding of Statics as a whole, because practice will do that, but it will provide an excellent explanation in a way that may be more understandable to you. It's definitely worth a shot. It worked well for me and I hope it will work for you as well.

The book was well written and covers much of the material I needed for my first semester of Statics, although I did not seem to notice any fluid statics in the book. I have yet to actually read the entire book but I found it helpful as a condensed presentation of common concepts and a good way to understand some ideas that are not perhaps explained well in the textbook.

I was struggling some with some basic concepts of statics. It helped tremendously! I think this is a great addition to the library of the student engineer.

I'm glad I bought this book. It goes over most of what will be on my exams. It doesn't have a lot of example problems, but it explains how to do them in great detail.

Great for introduction to statics whether you're trying to get leg up in class or just to make yourself seem smart to friends with a ridiculous contraption in your garage that seems to defy gravity. I read through it before my first class lecture and was able to do the first 2.5 HW assignments without even knowing my professor's face.

I bought this as a refresher on work I did before I retired. Good material and easy to comprehend.
