I really wish this would have said it was NIV version. I assumed for memorization that it would be luv or nkjv. Very disappointed.

This is a very cute game! My littles started picking up verses right away. Even if your kids don't know the verses some are easy to guess at and they reacall the correct answer again later.

Fun game for my grandkids and I must say they learned them all pretty quickly but they study the Bible every day as part of their school work.

Was wanting some kind of guideline to learn more scripture this year - to memorize a verse or two a month. So, I looked up different ways, and found this kids' memory verse card game. It is simple, colorful and I like it. Great way to put God's word in creating fun with kids and families, or can be used as a book mark or card for adults to carry around to test their own memory.

Great for not only our kids but for us parents!

we use this for our verse of the day for now. It will be a fun game option once our little guy is older.

Got this for one of my teachers in Sunday School, but have not gotten feedback. I'm sure this game with these cards is extremely helpful, at least I hope so.

I ordered these for the Youth at church and I'm very pleased with these card because they can be used for all ages. Affordable price as well.

However, most of the works by the traditional Jewish scholars - including the seminal work by Sherirah Gaon and the intellectual masterpiece by Maimonides - present a theology or philosophy whose goal is to promote and explain Judaism as conceived by the writer, and not a true history. Many stressed the importance of the Bible and revelation and the significance of the Oral Law which is not in the Torah, rather than an objective scientific history. Menachem Elon, an ordained rabbi, served on the Supreme Court of Israel since 1977 and was its Deputy President since 1988. This book won the Israel Prize in 1979. The two translators are distinguished American lawyers. Bernard Auerbach was a professor of law at the University of Maryland and a rabbi. Melvin J. Sykes is one of the most sought-after attorneys to handle appeals before Maryland's top court.

Menachem Elon's work on Jewish Law is exceptional. The work provides the most comprehensive discussion of Jewish law in English that I have ever seen. This work was recommended by a law school professor many years ago. I never cease going back to it. The discussions regarding each of the major legal sources along with their relevant commentaries is invaluable for learning what one should "know" to be conversant in this topic. The footnotes are also excellent and provide quick references to relevant passages in the original sources. This is not light reading and needs to approached when one is fresh. Given that, if one has a desire to get an overview of the history and inner workings of Jewish law, there is no better source of which I can think to recommend.

This book is the guide to C#, especially if you want to focus on the language.I should disclose I am an experienced C# programmer, but after not doing as much for a while I jumped back in with this book and it really got me ready.It contains examples, but also explains clearly each concept. It's thorough and detailed in many areas where others aren't. It isn't one of those books that focuses on forms and Visual Studio, this gives you a solid language foundation.You're going to find this book covers a very wide range of the language and lots of concepts. A must have if you're going to do any serious C# development.

The focus is more on what is going on behind the scenes and how .net works. It will make you a much better C# programmer vs. teach you how to code. Probably best as a secondary source / guide. Great book but don't make it your first C# book. Probably best digested in small doses. Also by skimming through the book you can get a high level (i.e. generalized idea) of different advanced features of C#. Not a whole lot of code but there is tons of examples on MSDN. Overall well written and not boring.The only negative for me was that sometimes I wished the explanations were a bit simpler or straightforward for ~5 - 10% of the material. But this wasn't a big deal--there is so much info on youtube, MSDN, and various blogs. Probably is best as a reference or 2nd C# book. Overall I recommend it.

I must confess though that I haven't read this "cover to cover" yet. My initial impression is very favorable. I thought when I ordered this book that it was just a later edition of Jesse Liberty's C# book. But, if it was meant to be (as the cover art suggests) it is completely re-written and updated for C# 5.0. Some of the explanations in this book are more in-depth and there is less dependency on code examples than in Liberty's "C#" that always seemed to introduce idioms that hadn't been fully discussed in the text. The subjects (chapters) that I've read seem very clearly written. I look forward to a thorough read.

This is just how I think a book about programming should be. Starting from a fairly basic level, it gives you a complete overview without going into unnecessary details. Throughout the book, the author explains the reasoning for the language design, be it historical, related to Java, Win32 or something else. He also provides best practices, and last but not least: the code examples are excellent! The have the minimal number of lines needed to show the approach, and never give you the feeling you need to have Visual Studio open to really understand.

I love this book. I have the Building Windows Applications VB.NET/C# book that Jesse Liberty co-authored and with this book you have an indispensable pair of developer books. Lots of neat little tricks in here.

Great book for version 5.0. Easier than Maruc C# to follow along with. Good examples, and easy to read.

Well written book that I use often. Able to jump to variety of topics and learn them deeply, quickly with good flow. Many times it's much better than searching for a topic on the web.

Have to agree with most of the other reviewers. This is an excellent book. Took advantage of "Buy Used" and got a good deal. You'll find that working through the examples will give you a comprehensive understanding of both C# and the .Net Framework. Will be looking for more from Ian Griffiths.
