I am in a clinical psychology doctoral program and this is one of my favorite books I've purchased during my program. This book is easy to read and covers a variety of topics related to ethical dilemmas and our field of practice. I would highly recommend for any doctoral student wanting to learn more about the code of ethics and clinical practice.

I have to have this for class, but it is a joy to read. It's informative, interesting, and I love how they put in case studies of ethical decisions made to further illustrate points.

This is a fabulous book. Can't believe it's a textbook. The case studies help to bring the information to life. I know that I will be reading this long after my Psych Ethics course is done.

How can there be so many words, and yet, so little to say? Watch "the Office" and take notes on how to properly teach ethics.

i didn't realize it would be a hard cover with its own flap cover so that was a great surprise! Well packaged and arrived just in time for my classes to begin!

Love the case studies, wish they were a bit more detailed but they do the job. Quick shipping. Came in excellent condition.

An architecture monograph is typically organized chronologically until Rem Koolhaas/OMA came out with S, M, L, XL which was organized by size. BIG, whose Bjarke Ingels used to work for Koolhaas, uses a different way of organizing his monograph. Hinting it with sustainability, it is organized by temperature of the place. This book is definitely the ultimate monograph of BIG, covering all their projects to date. Unlike regular monograph (take El Croquis as an example) which is to show the projects and how to build them (technical drawings, detail, etc.) and S, M, L, XL which was the first monograph to show the story behind each project interspersed by Koolhaas' essays on architecture/urbanism, BIG concentrates more on how rational conceptual ideas become buildings, featuring their signature conceptual diagrams with added explanations. These explanations are what make the book great by giving the insights into where those ideas came from. Otherwise, the book is just the hard copy of BIG's website.

In turn, the philosophy of the Danish study, the "hedonistic sustainability" is reinforced with reflection "Engineering without engineers" which describes that by design can capitalize on natural ventilation, sun exposure, and pedestrian mobility; creating increasingly less dependent on "machinery" buildings. The highlight of the projects presented to us BIG are their processes or morphological operations (torsion, orientation, extraction, extrusion, etc.) very well explained in his plots, which deserve special qualification to be as explicit and logical. Despite the remarkable design processes, the debt is in the final product, which are difficult to analyze because the book -in the planes are fuzzy and blurred. If you want a good book for reflection architectural possibly "Hot to Cold" is not the most adequate, however, if you are willing to visually train your graphic expression to represent a design process, "Hot to Cold" is a -o reading rather, review- highly recommended.

Excellent presentacion, haven't read it yet, but looking forward to it!Ingels has a really interesting and fresh approach to the desing process, particularly considering the urban impact! And innovative results!

An awesome title that's different from most other Taschen books I've seen. The rainbow design on the sides of the book indicate the level of care that went into this beautiful book, which features renders and photographs of tons of amazing architectural projects. If you have any interest in modern architecture at all, this is a great book for your library and also a terrific gift.

A well crafted, thoughtful book providing a comprehensive review of BIG's projects. The book's title obviously refers to design in a range of climates. HOT TO COLD communicates BIG's sensibility for creating quality of life through design. What is most impressive is BIG's sensitivity to cultures and clients. As an architectural book it is well designed, projects are organized by climate/ region, allowing the reader to take in the entire book or quickly find a particular interest. Graphics and renderings are excellent. A must have for every architecture student and fan of excellent modern design.

Each page is basically it’s own color, which is very unique. It’s a very dense and heavy book as well. There’s even some blueprints in the blue colored section of the book!

Is a very good book to look for references !!!
