The soul of 20th century Russia is given voice in the remembrance of the remarkable subject of this work. Well done. Grossman defined humanity contrasting the most dire circumstances of history with the simple relevance of a peasant woman's spontaneous kindness to her wounded and dying captor. The study of this great man's life would do much to improve the life of the reader.

After reading Grossman’s books, I wanted to know more about the man, the author. This biography does an outstanding job providing valuable insight inside the life of one of the greatest writers of his time. I highly recommend this book.

I just finished this marvelous biography. The book deserves 5 stars, and I give it even though I want to express my serious discontent at the fact that the Kindle version does not contain any of the photo's that the text refers to. Much information is carried by the photo's as many time a description is ended by the statement "see photo's". Photo's of the personal life of Vasily Grossman, of his hometown Berdichev, his family, friends and colleagues, but also of the WWII sites Grossman visited as a reporter.I can only assume that John and Carol Garrard selected these photo's with the same attention and dedication as they have carried out their research into Grossman. I would have loved to see his family and the people Grossman trusted his unpublishable manuscripts to. The biographical part of the book is altogether incomplete at the moment.I contacted Amazon, (they offered some compensation), but I really hope that the publisher will update the Kindle version and make a new version available that includes all photo's.

I already have other selections from Spurgeon, and wanted to have a great understanding of Proverbs. Spurgeon liinks most of this book to his prevailing message of faith and grace (NT) so that is interesting. Because of this, it is really not a stand a lone commentary on Proverbs, but it does shed new light on it. I just digest sections at a time rather than trying to go through the whole work in a short period.If you love All of Grace, you will enjoy this as well.

It's been great to read Spurgeons sermons from the 1800's into today's culture. He write about foundational issues within the church and Christianity that still need to be addressed today. Human nature never changes - and the need for God's solutions is still relevant today. I'm so thankful men and women of faith, like Spurgeon and the fathers of our faith before them, took the time to document their research and findings so that we can continue to benefit from their writings today.

I got this book as we were studying Proverbs in my Bible Study class at church. The sermons are truly beautiful and very inspiring. Some things, like beautiful verbiage never change. Granted some of the language was a bit dated, but if you can get by that, you'll enjoy and appreciate the fantastic sermons. This really helped me in my study to get another perspective on things that affect all of us.

I read a chapter of proverbs each day and as a supplement to it I purchased this book by Spurgeon. The book is very well written, straight forward, and incredibly insightful! This is a must for anyone wanting to delve deeper into the book of Proverbs in the Bible!

The Godspell Vocal Selections Songbook is suitable for anyone who is a pianist or a guitarist. The lyrics are printed along with the music, and the selections are very easy to play on a keyboard, piano, or xylophone. The guitar chords appear above the piano accompaniment, and are basic to anyone who is a medium-to-good guitar player. I would say that the guitar accompaniment is "easy" to learn. This is music that any church choir, youth or adult, can sing easily; in fact, I would go so far as to say that it is suitable for a church-wide production or a youth group production. Although the songs were written and published in the 1970's, the words and the music are very appropriate for today.

Liked that it was so close to the songs as I remember. Has some songs from the Broadway version and most from the T.V. version. Awesome...

I loved the new design to the pages and the cords.

This is not the book I was looking for. It's simplified versions of the songs, geared primarily towards vocalists. I wanted the actual piano score. I'm disappointed.

This is one of my most favorite musicals. The variety of the styles of songsincluded are fun and thought provoking. As a Christian, I find the messageencouraging and it makes me want to read the Scriptures again. For non-believers the show is still fun. The book arrived quickly,in good shape as promissed, with good packaging and at a good price.

I played bass in this show when I was a teen and fell in love with the music. I felt this collection had appropriately difficult (but not hard) interpretations for piano, vocals, and chords for guitar. It included all of my favorite songs from the show as well.

Has all the songs, including some missing from most collections, like Tower of Babble and On The Willows.

I purchased this book after I didn't pass my first attempt at taking the Pellet B. I can definitely assure you that you will pass if you first get this book before taking the test. I wish I would have done that in the first place.Pros: this book in my opinion has harder questions than the actual test but they are close to it. So it will definitely prepare you for the test. Also like how the answers to the questions are near the end of the book so your not tempted to look at answers. Also has a complete list of commonly misspelled words.Cons: there is only two practice tests. It would be great if there was at least 5 for better practice.

Great book, much harder than the actual exam (as others here mentioned). Using this book, I was able to get a t-score of mid-60's while taking the test in a room full of college grads.-1 star because it provides no scoring rubric. I found that I averaged around a 70% tradtional score on the practice tests, which put me in the t-score range of 60's.

This did help a bit in preparation for the PELLET-B. More because it prepared me for the types of questions that I might see, not so much the other content.

Everything in book is close to the exam. Increases your chances on passing the exam. Download the practice questions from the academy that is giving the exam. Study the questions from school giving exam plus the book questions and practice exams. The book is a career starter. Good luck

This study guide is a great full-size format, clearly presented and easy to use. It helped me prepare very well for my upcoming PELLETB written exam.

Arrived on time and was extremely helpful as a tutorial.

CLOZE part is the hardest part for me. As English is not my native language, I got half mistakes for the first practice exam without using any guide of the book. I then follow the instruction, step by step, the second practice exam has improved a lot. Really appreciate.
