I'm planning an upcoming trip to Olympic National Park and Mount Rainier. This book was invaluable in planning my trip and in evaluating how much time to spend in each area. The book has an incredible amount of detail about the Olympic peninsula: things to do, hotels restaurants. Of course you can't do everything in the book - but it gives you more than enough information to help you determine how you should spend your time. I consider myself lucky to have found this book to help me plan my trip.

I purchased this book because I wanted a change of pace from the self-growth books I was reading. Although some may categorize this is another self-growth book I viewed as an autobiography- growth book. I love how each chapter is titled after the lesson Chris Jericho learned. The lessons aren't anything new like "Always have a relentless work ethic", or "Never take no for an answer" but the story that Chris Jericho has behind them is nothing short of spectacular. I wish this book had an audiobook because it would have been amazing to hear Chris narrate his own book.One of the points I wanted Chris to touch on was 1. His time in Mexico and 2. His story/ road to WWE. You will find both of those here and find even more on other wrestlers such as Triple H and even the WWE Chairman himself, Vincent Kennedy Mcmahon.Overall it is an excellent book that any WWE fan will enjoy just like I did. Go ahead and purchase it you won't be disappointed.

I really enjoyed this book. It's different than his last books though I must say. If you into this expecting to read about all sorts of wrestling stories from his last run...you're going to be disappointed. However if you go into this just because you like Chris then you'll be very happy. This is a motivational style book with each chapter based off a positive idea on ways to live life to the fullest.There's many stories in here that are very entertaining, and Chris name drops like no other. While there aren't many wrestling stories in it, the ones that are in it are very fascinating.I'd give this book four stars simply because I like Chris so of course I liked his book. Not to mention he did a great job with this book as he did in the past.

Thoroughly enjoyed this motivational/business/self-improvement book. If you're a Jericho fan, before you "pfft, I don't need a self-help book", note that it is full of great stories from his wrestling and music career. At times I forgot that he was even trying to give advice on how to live a better life because I was so invested into the stories. If you're a Jericho, Wrestling, or music fan, or just want a little kick in the butt, I think you'll enjoy this book.

There really is nothing this man can't do. This book is far different then his normal biography but that's doesn't mean it's not as good. He still tells wrestling and fozzy stories but does in a way that makes you want to get off your lazy but and do something to better your life. Chris has given me so much entertainment for almost all my life and I could never thank him enough for that. Please read this book it's absolutely genius.

I've been familiar with Chris Jericho for nearly 20 years and always enjoy listening to his podcasts and other people interviewing him.So, I was shocked when I quit this book only after about 2-3 chapters.I think it has to do with the ghostwriter's writing style of Jericho's words and personality. It came off as something that was intended for people under 20 years old.

This is the fourth book that Chris Jericho has written and it is just as charming and funny as all the others. It is definitely something that all wrestling and music fan should read. Although, I think everyone will enjoy it. It is definitely the most entertaining self help book I have ever come across.

The CSB (Christian Standard Bible) is a complete revision of the original HCSB (Holman Christian Standard Bible) translation. In many regards, this translation is an excellent choice in translations, and one that I recommend highly for both reading and preaching from. My two star rating has nothing to do with the translation however.I gave this Bible only two stars for the product itself. It is subpar at best. The edition I received did come with a brown, goatskin leather cover which is probably its strong point. However, the product had several serious flaws that immediately conveyed to me that this Bible was done cheaply (in China), and that it was done quickly to rush it to market. First, even though the paper has minimal bleedthrough and good line-matching, the paper is very thin and of poor quality. I'm not sure how it will stand up to hours of use, and writing on it may prove to be a mistake. Second, the gold gilding on the page edges was not what you would expect in a $100 Bible. It was poorly applied, causing most of the pages to be stuck together (see photo). When paying high dollars for a Bible, one should not have to go through and unstick every page in it. You would only expect this from the cheap, big-box store variety of Bibles. This poor quality gilding also causes the corners of the pages to curl up which, again, is not found in the better made Bibles (see photo). My edition also had several pages in the Old Testament section that were so stuck together with gold gilding at the rounded corners that I ended up tearing them trying to get them apart (see photo) - a major flaw in production not to mention poor quality control. But what can one expect when a product is made in China? I have had the HCSB Ministers Bible for over 7 years which was made in South Korea, and the quality of it far surpasses this one.So, having made the decision to switch from the HCSB to the revised CSB, I was eagerly waiting for this Bible to become available but after receiving it I was extremely disappointed in Holman Publishing for putting out this poor quality product. Again, I reiterate, this should not be taken as a reflection on the translation itself, which is an excellent one. Pastors, such as myself, as well as Bible binding aficianados expect much more than this from Bible publishers today. J.Mark Bertrand and others have raised our awareness that if you are going to take it upon yourself to publish a Bible, God's Word should be shown respect by creating a product that is well done. This one is not.

I disagree with the review that some say this is not well made. If you are looking for a high end Bible like an Allen, then this is not it. If you are looking for an affordable Bible, that is put together well, this is it. The leather is Brown goatskin and has a nice feel to it. It is stiff and not as flexible aso the Large Print Ultra Thin CSB. That is because they used a thick paper liner instead of a vinyl like they did that one. The leather is a soft feel to it and I like holding it and using it. The paper is about the same as in the LP UT and no it is not the best paper but it is not bad either. I have already marked in this and written in it with no issues or regrets. I use the Pentel 8 color highlighter pencils and I also use the Twistables by Crayola. I wrote in it with a pencil and again no issues. The pages are line matched and there is some ghosting but about the same as you will find in an NIV or ESV. And I have MANY Bibles and I compare them all. The helps are in the back and very good but I love the outlines to perform weddings and funerals are in the middle between Psalms and Proverbs which is better then the Hendrick's Minister Bibles which are all in the back. I love the font is a 11 and it black letter. Easy to read and to use in teaching. This has now become my main Bible in studying, reading, teaching and preaching out of. Again if you are expecting this to be a Bible like an Allen or Cambridge, it is not. But if you want an affordable well made Bible - This is it!

This has to be the worst product i ever bought. Pages missing and the cover is scratched up

I had owned my HCSB Minister's Bible for two years, and eagerly awaited the new updated version. Here are some pros and cons:Pros:1. Large, readable single column text. Font 11 made use of much of the white space that existed in the previous rendition.2. THREE BOOKMARKS. I repeat, THREE BOOKMARKS! I don't understand why more Bibles don't have more bookmarks, but the CSB Pastor's Bible has three bookmarks with different colors. Especially useful when preaching, since I don't have to put sticky notes for my cross references.3. Passes the Genesis 1 and Revelation 22 test. I opened to Genesis 1, gave slight pressure to the spine, and it laid flat. The leather cover does an excellent job at weighing down the book, and the wider pages prevent it from flipping over by itself.Cons:This is my only con, and it's a strange one. In between the Psalms and Proverbs, there is a random insert of multiple sermons for various occasions, such as funerals and weddings. I have no idea why they included this in the middle of the Bible, since the HCSB had them at the end with the other essays. The placement is awkward and unnecessary.Overall, I'm satisfied with the Bible, and I look forward to using it more!

i have come to realize that I would read anything that Lea writes......including the phone book, if her name was on it as author. Having a quick, easy read like this is like finding the mad money you thought you lost but can now go spend! What a wonderful reward! So looking forward to the next book!

If Ms Hart writes it I buy it (and I did), however this review is based on an ARC generously provided by the author. I enjoyed the story of Willa, a physical therapist, and Chad, a Naval Petty Officer who’s on leave due to an injury. The beginning was adorable with Chad sealing his fate when he knocked on Willa’s door the first time. That start and the ending were the best parts for me while the middle didn’t have too deep of a story. That’s probably to be expected since this is a short story so I’m not sure how much substance is possible. There is a lot of heat (like, a ton) in Fate but I was pleasantly surprised that it didn’t cross any lines for me despite the self-described naughtiness. It’s definitely more raw than other Hart books but not a lot more imho. There are really only four characters in Fate so there’s no getting lost with who’s who. While Willa and Chad fell quickly into bed, they fell almost as quickly into love. Chad and Willa are a really nice couple and his love for her, with his protectiveness and support, will warm your heart. Ms. Hart’s books always have solid relationships without a ton of relationship drama (thank you.) The spotify playlist is aces.Okay, because I’m a nit picker I’ll point out that there are a few editing issues; one that comes to mind is taugt/taught vs taut. Also, I’m a visual person so the cover art matters to me. I wish that Chad didn’t look like a twin of Sam (Barrage) and a close relative of another couple of heroes from previous Hart books. All in all, a quick read that’ll make you smile for it’s nifty lead characters, it’s handling of an emotional issue that Willa faces head on, and it’s heat. I look forward to the next book in the series.

I have always been a fan of Lea Hart, she is the best at writing military themed romance books, however, this one she had me hooked by the first 2 paragraphs. I was already smiling and never quit until the ending. Lea is know for having such military knowledge, but who knew she knew so much about the hot and heavy love scenes, I was happily shocked and yes it might not be full of substance that other folks mention, but she maid up for it in this hot scorching book. Whenever, I read her books I feel like I am right there in the moment, I liked that this was a shorter version book, just enough to keep me interested and able to complete in 1-2 reading session. Of course I received an ARC of her book in exchange for a review copy. I always tell my friends about lea, she is the best in this genre and that is not because of the ARC, I am ex-military myself and her knowledge of how military operations work are amazing. I can't wait for the next book I think it has to do with the friends.

This book was similar to all of Lea Hart's books, in the respect that it has an awesome military man and a woman he can't live without. This starts out a new series for her which is a novella style story with a some more naughtiness.Chad and Willa's story was good. It's an insta-love story which works. It not only sexy times, but there is a story to go with it, which I think is important. I will say that with Naughty Bits in the series title, I was expecting there to be a little more sexy time than what there was. It was a good balance though and I enjoyed this story. It is a good start to the series.

This is one of my favorite authors. I am glad she wrote short stories I was able to read this one in one sitting which I loved. Chad and Willa were fabulous. Chad had no idea going next door because he was angry at his neighbor for cleaning so early keeping him awake would result in meeting the love of his life. I loved that Willa took some convincing but that Chad knew what he wanted and went for it. Ms Hart told this story quickly but I didn’t feel like I missed anything. If you want a quick love story this book had everything. Voluntarily review of an arc.

When it’s meant to be, there’s no denying fate. Chad cones home from deployment and, at first sight, falls madly in love with his new neighbor. Willa falls right back and they are both shocked by how deeply they fall so quickly. I love these two characters who aren’t perfect, but are perfect for each other. This short story has enough hot sex scenes to keep you turning the pages. I cannot wait to read the rest of the books in this Naughty Bits Series! Bravo, Lea!

All her books are a delight to read. This is the first book in the Naughty Bits series. Love at first sight right...it must be Fate. Here we have another of Dover's reprints of architectural catalogs. This one features Victorian designs by George Barber. At first, I was disappointed because the first few houses were small and plain. They didn't even have indoor bathrooms. However, as the book progressed the designs became larger and more elaborate. In fact, some of the designs were so gingerbreadish that I doubt many of us would want to live in them now, but they are interesting to study. I focused most of my attention on the floor plans, but the text did have a quaint charm. For instance, throughout the book houses and features are described as "tasty." Also, the prices quoted are amazing. $1500 bought quite a nice house back in 1891. Most of the plans are for moderate size homes, with a few smaller and larger sizes mixed in. At the back of the book you will find plans for several gazebos, stables, multi family homes, and even a handful of churches. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and recommend it for all old house enthusists.

Dover Publications is justly known for its excellent reprints of an enormous variety of books. In this case, the American Life Foundation (no longer in existence) reprinted George Barber's "Cottage Souvenir No. 2 several decades ago with an excellent introductory essay by Dr. Michael Tomlan. This is now relatively scarce and Dover has reprinted it, including the essay. This is the quintessential book for over-the-top late Victorian residential designs by an architect who perfected the business of mail-order design.

Had three years of arch. drafting. Not much information for the price.

Another one of the re-published Barber books, it holds similar praise for its high quality home designs. Derived from both Queen Anne and Colonial Revival style, Barber presents works both big and small. It certainly is a well recommended book for those interested in 19th century plan books.

I love looking at architecture of old homes because you dont see them very often anymore.....but I also use books such as these to learn how to draw houses too

The designs in this book range from very small "cottages" to very large, very nice homes. Most of them are quite ornate. As most of the home designs are almost 120 years old, they really don't work very well for today's life-style, but, add a couple of nice bathrooms and update the kitchen, and you would have an extremely nice, attractive home. This book was definitely worth the price!

Great product

We own a George Barber house. We love it, though it's been remuddled many times. Our house is in this book, and though I purchased it to provide the original floor plan for a guide to restoration, it's unusable for that purpose. Since we need a new roof, I really wanted blueprints so our reluctant roofers could see that it's not an impossible task. Not to be.I love reading Barber's words, and his pricing estimates. Hahaha!
